Grupo ROMERO, a 100% Mexican company, leader in the poultry and industrial market, based in the City of Puebla, decides to enter the services in the hotel sector, through its subsidiaries Villas Solaris and Villas Internacionales del Caribe, initiating these activities in 1988 and 1989 through Operators Ramada In and Aston.
In September of 1990, Grupo ROMERO began to operate its properties directly, constituting for this purpose the Tour Operator HOTELES SOLARIS DE MEXICO, who supported by a group of brilliant hoteliers develop and start a new concept of "ALL INCLUSIVE" with personalized service , conformed by two towers: Torre Royal and Torre Caribe.
At the beginning, the HOTEL ROYAL SOLARIS CARIBE was distinguished for operating in the Royal Tower the concept "ALL INCLUSIVE" and in the Caribe Tower the traditional "EUROPEAN PLAN", however given the success of the concept "ALL INCLUSIVE", in May of 1992 , It was decided to operate the two towers under the same system.
What we know today as Hotel Royal Solaris Cancun began operations in June 1988 under the name Ramada Renaissance. GR Caribe hotel opened in February 1990 as Aston Solaris. The operations of the Royal Solaris Los Cabos hotel began in July 2001 and on December 18, 2004 the GR Solaris Cancún Hotel opened for the first time.
