Reading is one of the most important and useful activities that the human being performs throughout his life, so here are the most important points about it:

• Is an extraordinary tool of intellectual work, as it puts into action the mind and streamlines intelligence.

• Define us by what we are in front of the rest of the human beings.

• Can receive knowledge formally and insert in the process of education.

• There is reading for pleasure and also reading for obligation.

Reading requires:

• ATTETION

• COMMITMENT

• CONCENTRATION

• REFLECTION

And we can not forget, that reading allows us:

• ENCOURAGE OUR IMAGINATION

• REFLECT ON ABSTRACT IDEAS OR CONCEPTS

• KEEP IN TOUCH WITH OUR LANGUAGE OR OTHER

• IMPROVE OUR SPELLING OR WRITING

• INCREASE OUR KNOWLEDGE AND CULTURE

IT IS HIGHLY IMPORTANT TO PROMOTE IN CHILDREN TO MAKE READING A HABIT. THEY WILL BE MORE PREPARED, KNOW OF DIFFERENT REALITIES MORE TOLERANT AND CONSCIOUS OF DIVERSITY.
