Boots, trumpets, and hats: Let's celebrate Mariachi's Day!

There are no melodies that make hearts jump like those that sound with the trumpets, the guitars and the violins that form a Mariachi.
On January 21 is celebrated in Mexico Mariachi Day, recognized as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The Mariachi is a traditional music and a fundamental element of the Mexican culture through which values, heritage, history and different indigenous languages are transmitted.
Originally, these musicians played sones from the west of the country, but since the 1930s included in their repertoires huapangos, rancheras, corridos, syrups, minuets, polkas, walloons, chotis, waltzes, serenades and traditional songs of rural life.
Some of the most important mariachi composers have been José Alfredo Jiménez, Tomás Méndez, Rubén Fuentes, Gilberto Parra Paz, Manuel Esperón, Vicente Fernández and Juan Gabriel, and many others.
