When you are in the Riviera Maya, there are many ways to enjoy what it offers us. One of the most incredible experiences that bring you closer to nature, full of adventure and even history, is to visit a cenote.

From the entrance, the atmosphere changes, you move to a place where the Mayan stories revive, amidst places that dazzle you with the beauty of its crystalline waters.

There are many types of cenotes, you can find places that are like a hidden treasure near towns or in the middle of the jungle, which are full of vegetation and fauna; while others are adapted to have an experience full of comfort.

In them you can go from only swimming or, for lovers of diving, some can reach up to 100 m. depth or even more.

Near Cancun we recommend four cenotes that are worth visiting:

Cenote Crystal

It is a type of open cenote, that has a peculiar legend about the origins of the color of its waters. It is adapted with facilities for visitors.

Cenote Dos Ojos

It is a type of semi open cenote, the name Dos Ojos, which translates to "Two Eyes", refers to that it has two caves full of blue waters.

Cenotes Chac Mool

They are semi open cenotes, a natural beauty famous for diving, that has a connection between both cenotes.

Cenote Boca del Puma

It is a type of closed cenote, that projects a mystical atmosphere, perfect for swimming and to enjoy of other activities that the place offers you.
